Ingredients
- Hot Cocoa Sugar Cookies
- 3/4 Can THRIVE Vanilla Sugar Cookie Mix pantry can
- 5/8 c. Butter
- 1 2/3 tbsp. Water
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 c. White Flour (All Purpose Unbleached Flour)
- 1 c. Hot Cocoa
- 3/4 tbsp. Cocoa Powder
- 3 1/3 tbsp. Boiling Water
- Hot Cocoa Whipped Cream Frosting
- 1 1/4 c. Hot Cocoa
- 3 1/3 tbsp. Boiling Water
- 1 2/3 c. Heavy Cream
- Hot Cocoa Buttercream Frosting
- 3 1/3 tbsp. Butter, softened
- 2 1/8 c. Powdered sugar
- 5/8 c. Hot Cocoa
- 3 1/3 tbsp. Boiling Water
Directions
- Sugar Cookie:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine egg, butter, and 2 tablespoons of water in mixer.
- Add pantry can of Thrive Life vanilla sugar cookie mix and flour to the liquid and mix until crumbly.
- Combine 1/4 cup water, cocoa powder, and hot cocoa mix in a bowl and stir well.
- Add the paste to the cookie dough mixture and mix until dough forms.
- Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
- Whipped cream frosting
- Combine hot cocoa and water in a mixing bowl until paste starts to form. Scrape bowl well to assure it is all mixed in.
- Add heavy cream and whip until stiff peaks.
- Buttercream frosting
- Begin by mixing boiling water and hot cocoa mix, set aside.
- Whip the butter. Add cocoa mixture and whip again. Finally, add powdered sugar and whip until light.
