Hot and Sour Soup

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp. THRIVE Chopped Onions - Freeze Dried
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. ketchup
- 3 tbsp. rice vinegar
- 4 c. water
- 3 1/2 tbsp. THRIVE Beef Bouillon
- 3 tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 5 tbsp. cold water
- 1/4 c. THRIVE Green Onions - Freeze Dried
Directions
- In a 2 quart saucepan sweat the garlic and sesame oil. Add the cayenne and chopped onions.
- Add the soy sauce, ketchup and vinegar and stir. Add water and bouillon and stir. Bring to a boil for 1 minute.
- Mix cold water and cornstarch together to create a slurry, then add slurry to the soup while it boils.
- Bring back to a simmer for 3-4 minutes and strain soup through a fine strainer.
- Add green onions and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
