Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb THRIVE Gluten Free Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Iodized Salt
  • 1/4 C Cane Sugar
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 lb. Butter, salted or THRIVE butter
  • 4 C Buttermilk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425F degrees.
  2. Combine all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter by hand, making the butter small crumbles of flour.
  4. Add the buttermilk and mix until just combined.
  5. Roll out to 1 inch thick and cut biscuit into 2 inch circles.
  6. Place the biscuits on a greased half size sheet pan, making sure they are touching each other and NOT spread apart.
  7. Brush additional melted butter over the top of the biscuits and bake for 15-20 minutes at 425F, or until golden brown.
  8. Yields: 24 Biscuits
