German Chocolate Macaroons

Macaroons with pecans, semi-sweet chocolate, and a sweet syrup.

Ingredients
- 1/2 C Pecans, chopped
- 1 can / box Macaroon cookie mix
- 1 C Hot water
- 1/2 C Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 Tbsp Vegetable shortening
- 1/2 can Sweetened condensed milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Pour entire macaroon cookie mix and the chopped pecans into a bowl. Mix
- Add hot water and mix, let sit for 5 minutes.
- Scoop with cookie scoop onto cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave, in 15-30 second increments, stirring each time.
- Warm sweetened condensed milk in microwave for 30 seconds, then stir.
- Repeat once more.
- When cookies are done cooking, remove them from the oven and use a fork to drizzle chocolate across cookies.
- Then use another fork to drizzle the sweetened condensed milk.
- Let cool and then enjoy!
