German Chocolate Macaroons

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C Pecans, chopped
  • 1 can / box Macaroon cookie mix
  • 1 C Hot water
  • 1/2 C Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 can Sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pour entire macaroon cookie mix and the chopped pecans into a bowl. Mix
  3. Add hot water and mix, let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Scoop with cookie scoop onto cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave, in 15-30 second increments, stirring each time.
  6. Warm sweetened condensed milk in microwave for 30 seconds, then stir.
  7. Repeat once more.
  8. When cookies are done cooking, remove them from the oven and use a fork to drizzle chocolate across cookies.
  9. Then use another fork to drizzle the sweetened condensed milk.
  10. Let cool and then enjoy!
