Garden Penne Pasta Alfredo

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. Whole Grain Penne Pasta
- 1 tbsp. garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. Chopped Onions- Dehydrated
- 1/4 c. white wine
- 1/4 c. THRIVE Mushroom Pieces - Freeze Dried
- 1/2 c. THRIVE Tomato Dices - Freeze Dried
- 1/2 c. THRIVE Asparagus - Freeze Dried
- 2 tsp. THRIVE Italian Seasoning Blend
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 3/4 c. THRIVE Shredded Parmesan Cheese (FD)
- 1/4 tsp. THRIVE Chefs Choice
- 1/4 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. THRIVE Béchamel (Creamy White Sauce)
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 tbsp. butter (to finish)
Directions
- Cook pasta to desired doneness as instructed on can.
- Drain and slightly cool; set aside.
- In a large saute pan sweat the garlic, butter, and onions until lightly brown.
- Add white wine and reduce by 3/4 or until syrupy and rich. Add mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus, and herbs and toss together to coat with wine reduction.
- Add water and bring to a simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Chef's Choice and Parmesan. Stir and simmer another 1-2 minutes.
- Add cream, then bechamel; stir well to incorporate.
- Add pasta and toss together. Bring back to a simmer and finish with lemon juice and remaining butter; stir well to incorporate.
