Ingredients

  • 2 TBL butter
  • 2 TBL all-purpose flour
  • 2-1/2 cups Thrive Instant Milk refreshed
  • 1.5 cups Thrive Butternut Squash pureed
  • 1 tsp sautéed Thrive Onion
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter in large skillet, add flour and stir together to form a roux.
  2. Add milk whisking as you pour.
  3. Add the Butternut Squash puree, onions and salt and pepper to taste
  4. Whist until smooth and well incorporated and continue heating until just starting to bubble.
  5. Turn off heat.
  6. Top with fresh parmesan cheese, parsley and freshly ground pepper if desired.
