Directions

  1. Before you begin, add the sausage to a baggie and gently break it up with a kitchen mallet. The smaller pieces will refresh better.
  2. Layer a wide mouth pint jar with all the dry ingredients starting with the sausage and moving down the list until the pepper.
  3. When you are ready to make your breakfast, add 1 cup water to the jar, screw the lid on tight, and shake it up.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Cook in microwave uncovered for 2 minutes.
  6. Enjoy right out of the jar with a little salsa or scoop it into tortillas to make breakfast burritos. Make a week’s worth ahead of time for easy on-the-go breakfasts—Just add water and cook when you need them!
