Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pour cheese into a small container with a lid. Add 2 Tbsp of water and shake until all water is absorbed. If cheese is not soft enough, add a little more water and shake again. Place in fridge.
  3. Put remaining ingredients into a 9×9 baking dish.
  4. Pour 2 ¼ cups water into the dish and stir well. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Once the casserole is fully hydrated and rice is cooked, top with the hydrated cheddar cheese, spreading it evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for another 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted.
