Basil Pesto

This pesto adds just the right touch to our Tuscan Tomato Soup recipe.

Ingredients
- 1/4 c. Pine nuts
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp. Garlic
- 2 tbsp. Water
- 1/4 c. Basil
- 1 tbsp. Parsley
- 1/4 tsp. Iodized Salt
- 1/8 tsp. Peppercorn
- 1/4 c. Olive oil
Directions
- In a food processor, bring the pine nuts, cheese, and garlic together and process until paste-like.
- Add water and herbs and mix well.
- Add salt and pepper, then drizzle in olive oil while stirring until blended.
- Add to Tuscan Tomato Soup or other soups or sauces.
